Dovid Hamelech, also known as the Sweet Singer of Israel
The book of Tehillim (Psalms) has the dual advantage of being part of the
Written Torah, in which G-d speaks to us, and also prayer, in which we speak to
G-d. Its writer, King David, having forged the path to Teshuvah,
repentance/return, is mentioned in the Zohar as being the fourth wheel on the
mystical chariot of Ezekiel. Can you imagine why these words, when spoken from
the heart, have the power to part the heavens?
