The theme of the series of family, relationships,
getting along with the people you can’t get along without, or getting to like
the people you love. Any way you approach it, any relationship can use a little
fine tuning. In relationships, we have many different types, and we have to be
comfortable with a variety of different roles, in order to be a successful at
the varied relationships that make up life.
For example, there is a relationship where you
have to look up to someone, and put the other person up on a pedestal, like
parents or teachers. They must be on a pedestal, and we have to get comfortable
and get good at wearing that hat, or playing that role of being the recipient
rather than the controller, or the giver or the master. For that relationship to
thrive, we need a certain degree of humility, the ability to not only accept but
be comfortable, actually enjoy being secondary.
